Visas
Nationals of EU Member States (Schengen only), United States citizens and citizens holding a visa for any of those destinations are exempted from the visa application, provided that their stay in S. Tomé and Príncipe does not exceed two weeks.
Other visa applications must be requested at least 7 days in advance, at an Embassy or Consulate of São Tomé and Príncipe. Visa applications for entry into the country of members of international organizations must be requested at least 72 hours in advance.
Foreign citizens from countries or geographic areas where there is no diplomatic or consular representation of S. Tomé and Príncipe may apply for an Entry Authorization, directly to the Migration and Borders Service, using "eVisaST" through the electronic address www.smf. st / virtualvisa , at least 7 working days in advance.
As of June 15, 2016 a tourist tax of 75.00 Dobras (equivalent to about 3.5 € per tourist and per night) has been applied to be charged at hotel units as well as travel agencies for cruise ships.
In accordance with the applicable legislation in São Tomé and Príncipe, the validity of the Passport must exceed the duration of the planned entry by at least 12 months.
